Greeting Ross Families:
Welcome to our new school! We are off to a wonderful start of the year and want to thank you for sending your child prepared and ready to learn. Please know that your child's teacher, office, staff, and I are all here to work in partnership with you to assure the best possible learning experience we can provide.
As many of you know, we have been granted a $80,000 from Panda Cares to implement The Leader in Me program as an introduction to personal leadership. All students have the capacity to lead in their own lives and affect those around them by making positive choices. The Leader in Me provides students with activities to help them learn practical character and life skills that will lead them to those positive choices.
The "Parent's Place" is available at www.TheLeaderinMe.org. Here you will find ideas to use at home to reinforce your child's learning and involve the family in a fun, interactive way. We will also keep you posted on our progress. Each Monday morning or first day of the week, our school assembles in the auditorium to learn about one of the habits, messages on how we treat one another and how as a leader we can contribute in ways that can make our school the best place possible. We have included a list of the 7 Habits in our newsletter.
